Biography
I will be working with body mapping in my upcoming project[1] to explore the everyday lived realities of migrant women and men in paid domestic and care work in Italy. Micol Pizzolati (a member of the Body Mapping Consortium), University of Bergamo in Italy, will work with me on the project as the secondment supervisor, providing me with the training and support needed to use body mapping. In this way, I/we will be using body mapping as a creative, visual, participatory and embodied method to examine and understand the everyday lives of one of the most marginalized and invisible groups of migrant workers in Europe and many other parts of the world.
[1] MSCA Postdoctoral Fellowship. Research team: Sabrina Marchetti, main supervisor, Ca’ Foscari University of Venice, Italy, Micol Pizzolati, secondment supervisor, University of Bergamo, Italy, Alberta Giorgi, ethics mentor, University of Bergamo, Italy, and I, the postdoctoral fellow.
