Biography
Body Mapping Experience:
I am a multidisciplinary artist and researcher working at the intersection of trauma, women’s wellbeing, and arts-based methodologies. My academic journey began with a BA in Art (Handicrafts) from the University of Art in Isfahan and an MA in Art Studies from the University of Kashan. During my Master’s research, I used body mapping to explore the embodied experiences of second-generation Afghan immigrant women in Iran, focusing on themes of identity, displacement, and gendered resistance. Since then, I have facilitated participatory, trauma-informed body mapping workshops with women affected by social crises, integrating feminist theory, embodiment, and visual storytelling into collective healing practices.
