Dr Jennifer Malecki is a psychologist and researcher who works in private practice. Jennifer used body mapping to investigate how early life traumas impact the development of mental health problems and suicidality in women. Her recent research explored the subjective processes of women with anorexia who have histories of childhood trauma. She  utilised body mapping to focus the attention of the participant and researcher on embodied experience. Her research revealed the complex relationships between these early life traumatic events, food and the body and made a methodological and theoretical contribution to the field of eating disorders.
